We are supporting local families with every service.
As a pest control professional starting my own business, I wanted to build a foundation that not only supports growth but also gives back to the local community.
It’s important to me and my family to not just work in the community, but to actively support it.
Over the years, I’ve encountered many pest situations where customers needed to clean out cupboards or pantries to treat the issue. Often, clients find they have a bag or two of non-perishable groceries they can spare—food they can part with without missing.
Meanwhile, soup kitchens and food distributors are serving those in need with essentials like canned tomatoes, beans, rice, and more. I saw an opportunity to connect customers who have groceries to donate with local food banks that can ensure this food reaches people who truly need it.
At Nottingham Pest Control, supporting our community is a constant part of our mission. That’s why we’re proud to offer new customers a discount when they donate a bag of groceries to the food bank. It’s our way of helping make a positive impact while delivering top-notch pest control services.
And thanks to our customers, in our first two years of business, we were able to:
- donate over 3500 pounds of food to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano – that’s the equivalent of 2,800 meals.
- provide 25 elementary students with backpacks in Oakley to give them the tools they need to succeed in school (organized by FIT4MOM).
- supply lunch to 150 children living in low-income households while they were on a special Juneteenth field trip.
- give five large Tonka dump trucks to a preschool in Brentwood.
As the company grows so too will the support back into the community.
Looking ahead, Nottingham Pest Control will continue to offer a $50 discount to new customers who give us a bag of groceries to donate to the Food Bank. We will also continue to support efforts to help underprivileged kids in our community.
