Rodents are cute on TV but not in your home

Once the rodents access the interior structure they can find their way to the attic or crawl space areas.
This month has been a rodent filled month…lots of activity.

The squeaks on tv may be cute but…late at night when it’s your ceiling making the noises…not so much.

Some of this can be attributed to a few common weak points in the structural design. Some can be attributed to homeowner maintenance items needing attention such as foundation vent screens, garage door sweeps (either missing or damaged) and side doors being left open for whatever reason.

Once the rodents access the interior structure they can find their way to the attic or crawl space areas.

I’ve had customers say that as long as the rodents are in the attic or crawl space and stay out of the living area, they are fine with it. This is not an ideal way to handle this suspected rodent activity. Rodents in these spaces will have access to sensitive components like electrical wiring, plastic plumbing (think fire sprinkler or main water lines), HVAC ducting and your insulation. None of these items are cheap to repair or replace should they become damaged.
